History

FC Athletico was first assembled as a summer-league team in June 2007 to give young men a chance to play soccer on a competitive level throughout the traditional "summer off" season. This new team brought kids from two competing Idaho Falls soccer clubs together for the first time, historic advesaries became friends and teammates.

The team participated in two Northern Utah invitational soccer tournaments, winning First Place in the Utah Steam Classic and taking Second in the Cache Valley Cup.

After going separate ways to support 4 different local high school teams (one state champ) in the fall of 2007, the young men decided they wanted to reunite and form their own independant team, separate from the existing Idaho Falls clubs and dedicated to searching out competition at the highest levels.

The result is FC Athletico!

With parental and corporate sponsor support, FCA will compete all over the Western United States and Texas throughout the end of 2007 and into August of 2008. A high expectation is set upon all players to excel in both soccer and academics as they chart a course to the future.
